I never belittled the capabilities of the almighty search engines, but, having gathered for a vacation in the city of Lloret de Mar, located on the Spanish coast, I suddenly realized that numerous forums intend to send us to neighboring Barcelona only on five laths.
Other information on individual sites varied in prices, departure times and the possibility of a smooth purchase of tickets. In fact, getting from Lloret de Mar to Barcelona is much easier than it seemed.
Certainly the easiest way is to rental car or at all Taxi. We dismissed both at once, there were a lot of us and this option did not suit us. There is public transport left.
There is no direct rail link between Lloret de Mar and Barcelona. Possibility to get to by train to Barcelona from Blanes. But first, of course, you need to get to it by bus.
The option with the train did not quite suit us either, due to the need for a transfer. Therefore, we chose the only remaining and suitable way of travel for us in all respects - bus.

Travel from Lloret de Mar to Barcelona direct by bus
Old-timers and people who have visited Lloret unanimously insisted that getting from Lloret de Mar to Barcelona is as difficult as comprehending the mysteries of voodoo shamans. We almost didn't believe it. And they did the right thing by not believing. I can’t know for sure whether the data is outdated, or something has changed in recent years, but now the scheme is elementary.
You go to the central bus station of Lloret de Mar, look at the schedule and take a ticket for a direct flight from Lloret de Mar to Barcelona. I read that in the morning there were huge queues and a shortage of tickets, but I personally did not notice, although we traveled this route three times.
If there is no flight to "right now", then he will also have time to drink coffee in a nearby cafe. By the way, get your return ticket here. Buses run every 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Previously, buses started moving from 8-00, and the last one went back to Lloret at 23-00, in general, you will have enough time to "walk". Buses are large - for 50 plus seats, comfortable, air-conditioned, the place is indicated on the ticket.
The distance to Barcelona is 65 km (not as Google measures - from the centers), and the average travel time is exactly 1 hour. Wi-Fi works in the cabin, but somehow very selectively. I am not among the chosen ones at this hour.
Features of traveling by bus from Lloret Mar since 2019
The situation has improved in 2019, travel time has slightly decreased, and there are more options in terms of choice. If you have access to the Internet, and almost everyone has it now, then just go to the online ticket purchase site compras.moventis.es (former sarfa.com). In principle, this could have ended, but I will explain a little to make it quite simple.
You can go to Barcelona from Lloret de Mar by bus from three places:
- LLORET Barri PESCADORS;
- LLORET Estació (central bus station);
- LLORET Barri Fenals.
There are two places to come to Barcelona from de Lloret de Mar by bus:
- BARCELONA Estacio del Nord (usually everyone goes to this station);
- BARCELONA Ronda St Pere.

Those who like to take pictures in the direction of travel will be disappointed. During the trip itself, there is nothing to take a picture of, as far as the eye can see, a ribbon of even road surface winds. But at the entrance to Barca, you can uncover your devices - unusual chippers are waiting for you. So what is next? Then you can do what you planned, the main thing is to look at the clock :))
