How locals deal with street robbers in Vietnam

Mthere is no doubt that Vietnam is relatively a safe country for tourists, including single travelers. In fact, given the country's recent history, many tourists, especially Americans, are pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome that awaits foreign travelers in this Asian country.

However, the number of minor crimes in Vietnam is on the rise. Although this growth is still not critical, one should not look for problems for oneself, but take reasonable precautions.

Among a number of worldwide crimes in Vietnam, the following stand out: cases of robbery using bikes or simply mopeds. No wonder, because according to various estimates, there are more than 40 million mopeds in the country. In terms of their number per capita, the Vietnamese are definitely not far behind neighboring Asian countries.
