In this region, there are undoubtedly excellent conditions for practicing water sports. Underwater life is striking in the richness of shapes and colors. Raja Ampat boasts of having most of the known coral species.

Add to this the hundreds of different species of fish and mammals that live in the seas, and we have before us all the richness of the animal world, which not only Europe can envy.

The beauty of Raja Ampat is undeniable, and it is a pity that it is simply impossible to see these miracles daily and constantly. But, despite this, it is worth visiting there at least once in a lifetime, because the impressions remain with us forever.

Those who managed to get there do not hide their admiration. They consider this place one of the best places not only in all of Indonesia and Asiabut all over the world.

Why? The answer is simple - a tropical paradise with few people and incomparable diving! Even those who are distantly related to this water sport or entertainment will undoubtedly love it, albeit in a minimal way. While diving, we see a really fabulous world of coral reefs. The first contact with the Gorgonians is impressive.

Clean sea
Water is striking in its transparency and beauty.

A cascade of hard corals can stretch across the entire sea horizon. We learn that the sand in the crystal blue sea is not only white, but also black. More than 1000 species of fish are present in the archipelago, 600 species of hard corals - this is much more than in the entire Caribbean Sea.

The land part of the islands is not inferior in beauty and diversity to the marine environment. Hundreds of rocky islands, which are overgrown with dense jungle, have acquired phenomenal lagoons, paradise beaches and picturesque "sandy shores" are waiting for you. There are tropical forests rich in rare species of vegetation, and "herds" of turtles lazily lay their eggs on the beaches.

However, here you will not see famous komodo dragons. They can only be found on Komodo Island in Indonesia. Therefore, you should not be afraid of the attacks of these ancient reptiles.

Accommodation options on the Raja Ampat Islands

Accommodation on the islands of Raja Ampat can be divided into two types: resort (hotel) and the so-called homestay. Take for example the island of Cree.

There are only a few good hotels on the island, so they are very expensive and often require a minimum booking and stay of one week. Accommodation prices start from 890 euros per person for seven nights (Kri Eco Resort) and go up to 2500 euros per person (Misool Eco Resort).

But don't get upset. An alternative to expensive spa services is staying in family guest houses. Such houses are simple huts on the beach or on stilts in the water, run by some local family. Compared to the official hotels, which are operated by the Ministry of Tourism, the conditions of home guest houses are much more modest.

To be honest to the end, they can be compared with the Spartans. But what are the conditions for us if there is such nature and a minimum number of people around. So go ahead to the search engine, and learn more and more about the Raja Ampat archipelago, its islands and think about vacation ...
