Jamaica was discovered in 1494 by Christopher Columbus. It gained independence only in 1962. It is the birthplace of reggae music and many stars. It is a place of pilgrimage for Bob Marley fans and also a great place to relax. The atmosphere of the island attracts crowds of tourists from all over the world every year.
